Alloy Engineering|Berea,OH|Full-time

Not Your Average Welding Job.

If you've spent your career laying down flawless stainless and nickel-alloy welds on work that actually matters, stop scrolling. This is the posting you've been looking for.

Alloy Engineering, located in Berea, isn't a production shop cranking out the same part a thousand times. We're a custom-engineered solutions provider where every project is a one-off challenge: ASME code pressure vessels, high-temperature furnace components, corrosion-resistant industrial equipment built from exotic alloys. The kind of work that separates welders from craftsmen.

Working at an 100% employee-owned company, means you have a direct stake in the quality and success of every project that leaves our floor. This isn't just a job. It's ownership.

What You'll Do

Precision Stainless & Exotic Alloy Welding: Perform expert-level MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on critical industrial components built from stainless steel, high-nickel alloys (Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel), and other specialty metals.
Custom Fabrication: Execute full-cycle metal fabrication: layout, fit-up, tack, and final assembly of complex, large-scale industrial equipment. No two jobs are the same.
Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret advanced blueprints, engineering drawings, and complex weld symbols with 100% accuracy. You'll work directly from engineering specs on custom builds.
All-Position Welding: Weld confidently in all positions: flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
Code-Quality Standards: Ensure every weld meets rigorous ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1/D1.6 quality standards. Our reputation is built on craftsmanship, and we don't cut corners.

What We're Looking For

10+ years of welding experience in heavy fabrication, custom job shop, or industrial manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated mastery of stainless steel and nickel-alloy welding. If you can run a perfect root pass on 300-series stainless with TIG, we want to talk.
Proficient reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
Expert with precision measuring tools: tape measure, calipers, micrometers.
ASME Section IX and/or AWS certifications preferred (or ability to qualify).
Self-directed problem solver who takes pride in doing it right the first time.

Compensation & Benefits

We put our money where our mouth is:

Pay: $22 - $40/hr based on experience, plus $2/hr shift differential for 2nd shift.
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000, paid after 90 days (based on weld experience)
Stable Hours: 55-hour work weeks with consistent overtime in a stable, long-term manufacturing environment.
ESOP Retirement: 100% company-funded Employee Stock Ownership Plan. You're not just building products, you're building equity.
401(k): Company-matched 401(k).
Health: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Extras: Paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee referral bonuses.

Work Environment

10-hour shifts, 55 hours/week in a non-air-conditioned manufacturing facility. This is real shop work.
Stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs. Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull as needed.
Work performed inside, underneath, and on top of fabrications.
Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required. Must have personal welding hood and basic hand tools.
