Basement2Finish | Chicagoland

Basement2Finish is looking for a confident, motivated In-Home Sales Consultant / Closer to meet with homeowners throughout Chicagoland and sell basement remodeling projects.

This is a SALES-FIRST position for someone who knows how to build trust, understand what a homeowner really wants, present value, handle objections, and confidently ask for the sale.

What You’ll Do

Meet with pre-qualified homeowners in their homes
Understand their basement vision, needs, priorities, and budget
Present Basement2Finish solutions and options
Review layouts, scope of work, pricing, and contracts
Handle objections and close the deal
Follow up consistently with undecided prospects
Maintain communication with clients after signing
Help finalize major selections and project details
Identify and properly document change orders or additional work
Perform occasional project/client check-ins to help ensure what was sold is being delivered

You will not be expected to run construction crews or manage every detail of the build. However, we want a salesperson who takes ownership of the customer experience instead of disappearing after the contract is signed.

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who is:

Competitive and motivated by results
Comfortable selling higher-ticket projects
Excellent face-to-face with homeowners
Confident asking for the sale
Organized and dependable
Strong with follow-up
Comfortable discussing pricing and overcoming objections
Able to build trust without being pushy
Willing to take ownership from initial appointment → signed contract → successful customer handoff

Experience in home improvement, remodeling, construction, roofing, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, HVAC, solar, real estate, automotive or other high-ticket sales is a strong plus.

Compensation

This is a performance-driven sales opportunity with strong earning potential for the right closer.

Compensation structure will be discussed during the interview and may include commission and performance incentives.

REQUIRED VIDEO APPLICATION

Please do not apply with only a resume.

We care more about how you communicate, present yourself, and sell than how impressive your resume looks.

Send us a 1–3 minute video introducing yourself and answering:

Who are you and what is your sales background?
What is the largest or most difficult sale you have closed?
How do you handle a homeowner who says, “Your price is too high”?
Why do you believe you would be successful selling basement remodeling projects?

Please include your name, phone number, and resume with your video.

Applicants who submit a strong video will receive priority consideration.

If you are a closer who wants the opportunity to sell substantial remodeling projects — and you believe the customer relationship continues after the signature — we want to hear from you.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
