Project Manager – Concrete Construction

Northern Virginia | Field‑Based (On the Road)

We are an established concrete contractor operating throughout Northern Virginia seeking an experienced Project Manager who knows concrete, takes ownership, and stays calm under pressure.

This is a field‑based role. Candidates must reside in Northern Virginia and be able to visit jobsites daily when needed. There is no daily reporting office. A company vehicle and gas card are provided.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in the concrete industry
Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Fluent in English (bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred)
Extremely responsive — answers phone calls and returns emails promptly
Calm, professional, and composed when dealing with difficult situations
Strong phone presence and written communication skills
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Core Responsibilities

Full ownership of concrete projects from pre-construction through close‑out
Buy‑out of awarded projects, including material procurement and subcontract coordination
Manage and track project budgets, change orders, and pay applications, working collaboratively with the accounting team
Review plans, identify issues early, and solve problems proactively
Schedule crews, pours, and coordination with GCs
Manage schedules and day‑to‑day execution of multiple active projects
Proactively identify and resolve issues before they escalate
Maintain professional, productive relationships with general contractors, field crews, suppliers, and internal team members
Protect project margins while maintaining strong client relationships
Keep jobs organized, documented, and moving forward
Support quality and safety compliance in accordance with project specifications, applicable regulations, and company standards.
Working knowledge of applicable building codes, OSHA regulations, and related requirements.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

This role requires sound judgment, an ownership mindset, and the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally as they arise.

Technology & Systems

Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability and willingness to use internal project management and estimating tools (e.g., JobTread, Jobber, ZZ Estimating)
Comfortable coordinating with GC‑side project management platforms such as Procore and similar systems
Open to adopting and responsibly using AI‑based tools as part of a modern, technology‑forward construction operation.

(Experience with our exact tools is not required — adaptability and organization are.)

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $125,000 – $150,000, depending on experience
