Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as a Welder Helper/Laborer and be a vital part of fabricating and assembling metal structures with precision and safety. Duties

Assist skilled welders with setup, positioning, and material handling for MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding projects
Prepare work areas by cleaning, measuring with calipers and micrometers, and organizing sheet metal, ductwork, or piping components
Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment following safety protocols
Support rigging and assembly tasks using schematics, blueprints, and mechanical knowledge to ensure accurate fabrication
Use basic math skills to measure, cut, and assemble components according to specifications and ASME codes & standards
Assist with pipe threading, soldering, machining, and other mechanical tasks involved in construction or manufacturing projects
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and tools while adhering to safety guidelines at all times

Qualifications

Construction site experience or related hands-on work in manufacturing or fabrication environments preferred
Knowledge of MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding is a plus
Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for assembly and fabrication tasks
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely
Basic math skills including measurements with calipers and micrometers; understanding of ASME codes & standards beneficial
Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, ductwork installation, machining processes or soldering is advantageous
Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment
