Win the work. Run the work. Build on more than 100 years of electrical craftsmanship.

Since 1920, E. G. Middleton has powered Hampton Roads. We are a family-owned electrical contractor, now led by our third generation, and our crews have helped build some of the region’s most important infrastructure, including electrical work on all three major construction phases of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Today we serve commercial, industrial, military, and other major clients across Hampton Roads.

Our history is built on our people and the quality of their work. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to carry that standard forward. You’ll read the plans, build the bid, win the work, and then manage the project through closeout.

Why Join E. G. Middleton

Strong pay and reward for results. The salary is $85,000 to $100,000, and a project success bonus rewards jobs that finish well.
A company with real roots. We have been family-owned and operating in Hampton Roads for more than 100 years.
Real ownership of your projects. You’ll carry each job from takeoff to closeout instead of handing your numbers off to someone else.
Work-life balance. You work Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, with no routine travel or on-call.
Serious clients and meaningful work. You’ll bid and manage projects for the U.S. Navy, the Port of Virginia, Dominion Energy, Norfolk Southern, Newport News Shipbuilding, and BAE Systems.
A field team you can trust. Our 125–150 field electricians are all 5-year apprenticeship graduates, and our certified splicers work up to 35kV.
People stay here. We have fewer than 2% turnover, have been BBB Accredited with an A+ rating since 1973, and were voted a Top Best Company to Work For in 2025 and 2026.
