Job Title: Production Machinist

Job Type: Full Time (40 hours per week)

SUMMARY:

Responsible for basic set up and operation of machine tools to produce precision parts. Produces small batches or large quantities of parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, punch presses, EDM and grinders to produce precision parts.
Read and interpret blue prints
Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications.
Properly and accurately use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers and various types of indicators
Basic set up of manual and CNC machines
Make offset changes on CNC machines to ensure quality parts
Change inserts on cutting tools
Follow simple directions
Select tools and materials for the job.
Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations.
Calculate Feed rates and Speeds.
Produce small and large quantities of parts from start to finish
Conduct basic maintenance on the machinery
Wear the proper PPE for the task assigned
MIG and TIG weld stainless steel and Aluminum
Conduct basic sheet metal fabrication
Comply with quality policies and instructions
Stand for long periods of time
Stay focused to safely conduct repetitive work

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

*High school diploma or GED required

*Machining Experience

*Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
