Pay: $40,000 - $55,000 Base Salary + Commission

Equipment King LLC & KingBidz Auction House are seeking an In-House Appliance Repair Technician to join our growing team. This is NOT a service truck position and does NOT involve traveling to customer homes or job sites. All work is performed at our facility in Lewisburg, Tennessee.

You will have your own workspace, computer, phone, and dedicated area within our warehouse. This position offers a high level of independence and personal responsibility. We are looking for someone who can manage their own workload, stay organized, solve problems, and remain productive without constant supervision.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of their work. While you will have significant freedom in how you manage your day, you will also be held accountable for productivity, organization, completed repairs, inventory management, documentation, and overall results. Performance standards, quotas, and measurable goals will be part of this position.

We process a large volume of appliances including refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, and other household appliances. Your responsibilities will include testing, diagnosing, repairing, cleaning, evaluating, organizing, and preparing appliances for resale, as well as recovering valuable parts from units that are not repairable.

A large part of this position involves organization, inventory control, and maximizing the value of every appliance that comes through our facility. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, maintains a clean and organized workspace, documents what they accomplish, and consistently produces results.

Responsibilities:

Inspect, test, and evaluate incoming appliances

Plug in and operate appliances to verify proper function

Run appliances through complete cycles and perform quality checks

Diagnose appliance issues and determine repairability

Perform appliance repairs when economically practical

Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control board issues

Thoroughly clean and prepare appliances for resale

Work closely with the sales department to ensure appliances are accurately represented and ready for customers

Identify appliances that should be scrapped or parted out

Remove, label, organize, and inventory reusable parts

Assist with supplying parts to our eBay department for online sales

Research appliance models, parts, and repair information

Maintain organized inventory and parts storage areas

Help organize and improve warehouse efficiency

Assist with photographing appliances and parts when needed

Help create content for social media and marketing when needed

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Meet productivity goals, organization standards, and performance expectations

Qualifications:

Appliance repair experience preferred

Electrical troubleshooting experience preferred

Experience working with tools and diagnostic equipment

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision

Ability to identify, label, organize, and inventory parts accurately

Strong problem-solving skills

Basic computer skills

Valid driver's license preferred

Important Notes:

This is an in-house position only. No service calls or travel required.

Most repairs involve diagnosis, testing, control boards, switches, sensors, wiring, motors, pumps, and general appliance repairs.

While experience with sealed systems, compressors, and refrigeration work is beneficial, the majority of our work does not involve compressor replacement or extensive HVAC-style repairs.

Organization, inventory management, and documentation are critical parts of this position.

Compensation & Opportunity:

This position offers a base salary of $40,000 to $55,000 per year depending on experience, plus commission and performance incentives.
