We are speaking with experienced HVAC project managers for senior opportunities with established mechanical contractors in the New York metropolitan area. These roles are on-site; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available. The strongest fit will have led commercial HVAC projects from award and planning through installation, commissioning, and closeout. Candidates whose background is primarily residential will also be considered when they have substantial project ownership and strong team and customer leadership.

What you will lead

Plan and manage HVAC projects across scope, schedule, budget, labor, procurement, subcontractors, and client expectations.
Coordinate project execution with field leadership, engineers, general contractors, owners, vendors, and other trades.
Review drawings, specifications, scopes, submittals, RFIs, change requests, and project schedules; resolve coordination issues before they affect installation.
Monitor labor productivity, costs, billings, forecasts, material deliveries, and project documentation; address risks and variances early.
Support safe, quality installation and testing, startup, commissioning, punch-list completion, and turnover.
Build strong customer relationships, communicate project status, and support repeat business and account growth.

What we are looking for

Several years of progressively responsible HVAC or mechanical project management experience, including independent ownership of complex projects.
Commercial HVAC experience is preferred. Residential HVAC project management is welcome when it includes meaningful operational, financial, and customer responsibility.
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical plans and specifications, construction sequencing, commissioning, and code-driven installation requirements.
Experience managing budgets, schedules, labor, purchasing, subcontractors, change orders, cost forecasts, and project closeout.
Clear communication and sound judgment when coordinating with clients, field teams, general contractors, engineers, and vendors.
Proficiency with common project tools such as Microsoft Office and scheduling, estimating, document-control, or construction-management software.

If you have led HVAC projects and are open to hearing about a senior opportunity, please share your resume and a brief overview of the project types, approximate values, and teams you have managed.
