Location: Tampa, FL Area

Compensation: Strong hourly base + performance bonuses (Top techs earn $80,000 – $150,000+)

If you are a seasoned HVAC technician who loves the trade but hates being forced to act like a slick salesperson, we built On The Way AC for you.

We don't overbook our board. We don't force you to rush through six calls a day just to swap capacitors. We give our people the time, the tools, and the backing to look at the entire system, find the root cause, and genuinely educate the homeowner.

If you take pride in flawless diagnostics and believe that giving a customer honest, clear options is the only way to do business, you'll fit right in.

What Makes Us Different

True "No-Pressure" Culture: We practice the Confident Advisor approach. Your job is to diagnose, document, and educate. When you show a homeowner the actual condition of their system with photos and data, they buy because they trust you—not because you used a high-pressure script
Respect for Your Time: Our scheduling is smart. We protect our techs from burnout with organized, shared, rotational on-call schedules. When you're off, you're off
The Tools to Do the Job: A fully stocked, modern service vehicle, a reliable company tablet, and advanced technical and communication coaching to help you scale your income honestly

What We Are Looking For

The Seasoned Pro: You have solid residential troubleshooting experience. You don't guess; you test. Static pressure, subcooling, superheat, and electrical diagnostics are second nature to you
The Educator: You can explain a cracked heat exchanger or a failing compressor to a homeowner in plain English without sounding apologetic or aggressive
The Professional: You treat the customer's home like your own. You document measurements, photos, and options clearly because you take pride in your paperwork
Credentials: EPA 608 Certification and a clean driving record are required

We offer a rock-solid hourly foundation so you never have to worry about a slow week feeding your family, paired with an excellent bonus structure that heavily rewards thoroughness, high-quality workmanship, and long-term customer retention.
