Summary

We have served North Carolina businesses for 26 years. The company started in commercial refrigeration, and grew into a full commercial HVAC/R contractor.

Today the team runs about 50 people across Winston-Salem/Triad, Raleigh and Charlotte, with commercial, residential and industrial divisions.

The Role

We are looking for a Lead Commercial HVAC Installer to run install crews on commercial HVAC projects. You'll own commercial installs from layout to start-up. You'll lead a crew, set the pace on the job site, and make sure every system goes in clean, to code and ready to run.

This is a hands-on lead role. You'll be on the roof and in the mechanical room with your crew, not just directing them. The right person takes pride in quality work and wants to develop the next generation of installers.

Responsibilities

Lead install crews on commercial replacement and new-construction projects: rooftop units, split systems, make-up air units, exhaust fans and ductless systems
Review drawings, submittals and scope before each job; field-verify measurements and flag issues early
Plan crane lifts and rigging for rooftop equipment, including curbs and curb adapters
Run and braze refrigerant piping with a nitrogen purge; pressure test, evacuate and charge systems
Fabricate, modify and connect ductwork
Make line- and low-voltage connections; install thermostats and controls
Start up and commission equipment to manufacturer specs, and record readings
Document jobs in ServiceTitan: photos, materials, hours and notes
Coordinate with project managers, GCs, other trades and building owners on schedule and site access
Train and mentor installers and apprentices on the crew
Enforce job-site safety: fall protection, lockout/tagout, ladders and lifts
Finish strong: clean site, punch list complete, customer walkthrough

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience
Able to read mechanical drawings, submittals and manufacturer install manuals
Experience setting rooftop units and working with crane and rigging crews
Clear communicator with PMs, GCs and customers
