Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Millwork Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality stair parts, including handrails, newel posts, treads, and other custom millwork products. You will interpret work orders, measure and cut materials, and operate woodworking machinery to produce components that meet quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has experience with woodworking tools and equipment, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing durable, visually appealing products. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of wood species and fabrication techniques in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment, contributing to the production of custom stair systems and architectural millwork for residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret work orders, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications to ensure the accurate production of stair components and custom millwork.
Operate woodworking machinery, power tools, pneumatic tools, and hand tools to cut, shape, sand, drill, assemble, and finish handrails, newel posts, balusters, treads, and other stair parts.
Measure, mark, and inspect materials using precision measuring tools to ensure all components meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
Select and handle lumber and other millwork materials safely and efficiently throughout the manufacturing process.
Assemble and prepare stair components according to customer specifications while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Perform routine quality inspections to verify product accuracy, finish quality, and compliance with company standards before packaging or shipment.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
Maintain woodworking equipment and keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with all company safety policies.
Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily production schedules and customer delivery deadlines.
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating machinery and handling materials.

Qualifications

Previous experience in woodworking, millwork manufacturing, carpentry, cabinet making, stair fabrication, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, work orders, and production specifications accurately.
Proficient in the safe operation of woodworking machinery, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, material properties, and quality standards for producing handrails, newel posts, balusters, treads, and other stair components.
Experience measuring, cutting, shaping, sanding, drilling, and assembling wood products with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with material handling procedures and the safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is preferred.
Ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting while consistently meeting quality and production goals.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and OSHA regulations.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, including exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, and changing seasonal conditions.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.43 per hour
