Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings according to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs.
Troubleshoot issues with high voltage and low voltage systems using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems during renovation projects.
Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians on the job site.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

Proven experience as a Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician with a focus on commercial construction projects.
Proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to high voltage and low voltage installations.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision.
Experience with frame carpentry and maintenance person tasks is a plus for project versatility.
Familiarity with construction site practices and safety measures is essential for success in this role.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of electrical work.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
