Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and field service experience. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related equipment across various properties. A valid driver’s license is required to ensure timely service calls and equipment transportation. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to optimize performance and extend lifespan.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems as needed for proper operation.
- Repair appliances and mechanical components using tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other specialized instruments.
- Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools; perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and inspections for client documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in related fields such as construction, appliance repair, or property maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration, plumbing, boiler systems, and HVAC design principles.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R equipment repair, welding techniques, and equipment troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of field service operations including installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Prior experience with appliance repair or property maintenance is desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for transportation between job sites.
- Additional skills such as welding, boiler operation, or mechanic experience are advantageous. Pay: $20.50 - $35.50 per hour
