Overview
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Refrigeration Technician to join our team, providing expert service and maintenance for refrigeration, HVAC, and related mechanical systems. This role requires a strong background in refrigeration systems, HVAC design, plumbing, and equipment repair, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues using schematics and technical diagrams. The ideal candidate will possess extensive field service experience, mechanical knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems, HVAC units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Conduct equipment diagnostics with tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices.
- Repair or replace components including compressors, motors, valves, and piping; perform welding as needed.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards related to ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R systems.
- Assist with plumbing tasks associated with refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency.
- Document all service activities accurately and report on system conditions for ongoing maintenance planning.
- Support property maintenance tasks including appliance repair and general mechanical repairs.
- Operate heavy machinery or specialized tools required for equipment repair or installation projects.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Refrigeration Technician certification .
- Proven experience in service technician roles within construction, HVAC/R, or appliance repair fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, boiler systems.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans effectively.
- Experience with plumbing systems related to refrigeration and HVAC setups.
- Proficiency in equipment repair including welding skills; familiarity with ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
- Mechanical aptitude with property maintenance background preferred.
- Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety protocols concerning ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R systems.
- Driver’s license required for travel between job sites.
