Rudd Plumbing Heating Air & Electrical is locally owned and operated with a reputation for providing quality service and installation throughout the greater Charleston, SC area. We are growing and adding a Residential Electrician to the team who takes pride in safety and quality workmanship.

Applicants should possess strong communication skills and have experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, servicing, and presenting options to homeowners about their residential electrical needs. Our business mix is primarily existing residential service, remodels, some new construction, and light commercial. Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Communicate job status, progress, and/or any changes/needs on-site to stakeholders in a timely manner to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Order and track materials and tools required to keep projects moving efficiently
Collaborate with other trades and/or subcontractors on job sites
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications
Diagnose and replace faulty or unsafe fixtures, electrical wiring, and equipment
Inspect and perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers and transformers
Install, maintain, and repair electrical controls, wiring, lighting systems, fans, etc.
Perform general electrical maintenance tasks
Adhere to local, state, and National Electrical Codes
Track repairs and work completed in ServiceTitan
Engage with customers/clients in a professional manner

What are we looking for?

3+ years years of progressive Residential Electrical experience
Knowledge of residential electrical code compliance and safety best practices
Experience building estimates and controlling job costs including labor and materials
Ability to read and understand blueprints/ floor plans and markups
Strong communication skills and comfort level interacting with customers
Willingness and ability to fit in tight spaces such as crawlspaces and attics
Ability to pass background check and random drug screening
Valid U.S. driver’s license with good driving history
