Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that electrical work complies with all safety standards and electrical codes, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties

Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs safely and efficiently.
Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation and control functions.
Conduct testing using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure system integrity.
Perform electrical work on construction sites, including framing carpentry tasks related to conduit installation or panel mounting when necessary.
Follow all safety protocols outlined by OSHA and adhere to NEC standards during all phases of work.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians, plumbers, or carpenters during renovation or construction projects.
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records.
Assist in schematic reading for complex electrical systems involving high voltage or industrial controls.
Support handyman tasks related to electrical repairs or modifications on-site as needed.

Experience

Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a valid license or certification.
Extensive industrial electrician experience working with automation systems like PLCs and low voltage controls.
Commercial electrician background with a strong understanding of NEC standards and building codes.
Hands-on experience using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
Construction site experience managing multiple projects from start to finish under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications in existing structures.
Knowledge of high voltage (HV) systems as well as low voltage wiring for control panels or security systems.
Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical faults accurately.
Experience working with schematics for industrial controls or commercial wiring layouts is highly desirable.
Handyman experience is a plus for supporting miscellaneous electrical repairs across various settings.
