Licensed Electrician – Warehouse Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Licensed Electrician to support electrical systems within our warehouse and distribution facility. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has strong industrial experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair warehouse electrical systems, including lighting, panels, breakers, and wiring
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues affecting conveyors, automated systems, and material handling equipment
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical components and equipment
Diagnose control systems and motor-related issues
Maintain and repair electrical distribution systems within the facility
Inspect electrical systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
Support installation of new warehouse equipment and automation systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
Test electrical systems using meters and diagnostic equipment
Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies
Maintain documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications

Valid State Electrical License (Journeyman or Master Electrician)
High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of industrial or warehouse electrical experience preferred
Strong knowledge of 120V, 240V, and 480V systems
Experience working with motors, VFDs, PLCs, and automated conveyor systems preferred
Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures
Ability to work independently and respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and operate lifts
Comfortable working around moving machinery
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods

Work Environment

Fast-paced warehouse or distribution center
Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
May require occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts

Preferred Skills

Experience with warehouse automation systems
Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
Strong communication skills and team collaboration
Ability to work in a high-volume production environment
