Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, including Fire Alarm, Access Control, and Nurse Call. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting various low voltage systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Duties

Inspect, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including nurse call (30%), fire alarms (60%), damper inspections, and access control systems (10%).
Conduct field service work to troubleshoot and repair existing systems.
Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs.
Read and interpret schematics for system design and installation.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Ensure all inspections comply with the NFPA standards.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
Document service calls, repairs, and installations accurately in company records.
Stay updated on the latest technologies in low voltage systems, including remote access software and sensors.

Experience

Proven experience as a service technician or similar role in low voltage applications. 5+ years of experience required
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in cabling and electrical systems.
Familiarity with computer networking concepts and computer hardware.
Experience in fire alarm system sales is a plus.
NICET I REQUIRED / NICET II is a plus.
Knowledge of nurse call components, mag locks, and fire alarm systems is preferred.
