Job Overview
New England Woodcraft is looking for a woodworking Machine Operator who will be responsible for running computer-controlled and conventional machinery to manufacture furniture
Job Responsibilities
A Machine Operator will be responsible for the setup and operation of our CNC and conventional machinery. Responsibilities also include ensuring the products consistently meet the quality requirements. The operator will be responsible for conducting autonomous maintenance, assisting with repair of the machinery and troubleshooting machine problems, if they arise.
Skills Required
· Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
· Aptitude for math, problem-solving, basic computer knowledge and mechanics
· Ability to read and understand prints/engineering drawings, including use of calipers
· Attention to detail in order to maintain finished product quality.
· Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
· Eagar to learn. Must be a self-starter and be able to work at a fast pace, efficiently
· Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
· This position requires a person that can work independently and well with others.
· Communication, cooperation, versatility, and a positive attitude are essential.
