Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated HVAC Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in the HVAC industry, providing opportunities to develop technical skills and industry knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction, mechanical systems, and property maintenance, with a focus on air conditioning, refrigeration, and equipment repair. This paid apprenticeship is designed to prepare individuals for a successful career as a service technician or mechanic within the HVAC field.

Duties

Assist senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
Learn to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans for various projects
Support in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
Perform basic plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance
Aid in welding and equipment repair tasks as needed
Participate in field service activities, including servicing appliances and performing routine maintenance
Gain experience in ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R applications
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment during all job activities

Qualifications

Prior experience or knowledge in construction, service technician work, or property maintenance is preferred
Basic understanding of schematics, HVAC design, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems is a plus
Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R systems, boilers, appliances, and equipment repair is advantageous
Experience with welding or boiler operation is beneficial but not required
Familiarity with tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices is desirable
Strong interest in learning about field service operations within the HVAC industry
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred for travel between job sites
Ability to work safely in various environments and follow technical instructions accurately

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
