Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator specializing in Wet Utilities! In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects focused on water, sewer, and other underground utility installations. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to essential infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and front loader trucks to perform excavation, trenching, and utility installation tasks.
Manage the operation of specialized vehicles including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, and concrete mixers to support construction activities.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and preparing work zones for ongoing tasks.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure safety and proper functioning; perform basic maintenance as needed.
Follow safety protocols diligently while working around farm machinery, construction equipment, and heavy-duty vehicles to prevent accidents.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment efficiently across job sites.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and daily activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and front loader trucks in a construction environment.
Hands-on experience working on construction sites with wet utilities or underground infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery operation and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols.
