Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial and industrial environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform installations and repairs efficiently
- Conduct testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to ensure proper functionality
- Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local regulations to maintain safety compliance
- Work on construction sites, collaborating with other trades like frame carpentry to coordinate project timelines
- Diagnose electrical issues related to low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring prompt resolution
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics for accurate diagnostics and installations
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams with confidence
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems along with NEC standards
- Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of frame carpentry is a plus for coordinating structural elements during installations
