This position is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE from day one
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for all shop operations, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, finishing, and assembly
- Manage and maintain the company’s quality management system including ISO procedures, internal audits, and quality documentation
- Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow optimization to meet customer deadlines and quality standards.
- Supervise production, quality staff, and shop personnel; responsible for performance reviews, staffing decisions, and team development
- Working with customers regarding quality issues, corrective actions, and process improvements.
- Review and approve first article inspections, in‑process inspections, and final QC documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with engineering and programming to drive process improvements, reduce scrap, and enhance manufacturability
- Monitor key production and quality metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee safety standards, OSHA compliance, and shop policy enforcement.
- Manage equipment maintenance programs and participate in capital investment planning.
- Support financial and business operations including budgeting, cost control, and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years previous experience in precision sheet metal, machining, or related environments.
- At least five years of hands‑on management or leadership experience.
- Prior experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Quality Manager in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and finishing processes.
- Experience managing ISO-based or structured quality management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems for scheduling, job tracking, and quality documentation
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or other advanced quality standards.
Hours are:
Monday through Friday – 7am to 3:30pm
The salary is $145K to $175K a year based on experience
