We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and timelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Oversee project scheduling, ensuring that all phases of construction are completed in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to guide construction activities.
- Maintain effective communication with project managers and clients regarding project status and any potential issues.
- Utilize Buildertrend for project management tasks such as documentation and reporting. Maintain daily logs, create and update gantt charts on a regular basis.
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in construction management.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
