Holmes Plumbing & Heating is remodeling and home services company based in Somerville, MA.
We are currently looking to hire a Journeyman Plumber who is interested in growing their own team within our business. As a team lead you will be both providing direct service to clients, and also working with clients to help them understand mechanical/plumbing related systems in their home, and assist with the sale & scheduling of service and heating/HVAC system replacements.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure proper installation and functionality of plumbing systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine the layout and placement of plumbing systems
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, showers, dishwashers, laundry machines, boilers, furnaces, etc.
- Perform inspections of plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues or potential problems
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner
-Service and replace Boilers & Furnaces
Skills:
- Knowledge of Boilers & HVAC systems
- Proficiency in various maintenance tasks related to plumbing repairs and installations
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing system issues
- Experience in construction plumbing for new builds or renovations
- Proficient in using hand tools & power tools required for field work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Proficient in reading and understanding installation manuals/instructions
