JOB SUMMARY

The HVAC Multifamily Project Manager I oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC installation projects for multifamily and light commercial construction. This role works closely with Area Managers, field teams, and internal departments to help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality and safety standards.

This is a developmental role however, candidate must have foundational knowledge in Multifamily HVAC systems, ability to read plans, and field experience in installation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in coordinating and oversight of HVAC installation projects from pre-construction through completion
Support field teams by helping track progress, schedules, and daily jobsite needs
Work with Area Managers and internal teams to help develop project timelines and plans
Assist with material procurement, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with the shop and vendors
Review drawings and specifications to gain familiarity with project requirements
Help monitor project progress and communicate potential issues related to schedule, cost, or quality
Support enforcement of company safety standards and jobsite compliance
Assist with timecard collection, basic scheduling updates, and workforce coordination
Maintain accurate project documentation, including labor tracking and job records
Provide support for estimating, including takeoffs, budgeting assistance, and change order documentation
Build working relationships with field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors
Perform other duties as assigned

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will have coordination and oversight of estimating, design and field teams
Will assist in coordinating field crews in conjunction with Area Managers

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

3–5 years of experience in multifamily HVAC installations
Basic understanding of entire HVAC process from bidding to completion
Willingness to learn project management, scheduling, and job costing
Ability to read or learn to read blueprints and construction documents
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with construction software is a plus
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments
Frequent walking, climbing stairs, and navigating active jobsites
Ability to work in confined spaces when needed
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
Repetitive use of hands, including typing and handling documents

The base pay range for this position is: $75,000 - 95,000
