About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Plumber to maintain and improve our facility's plumbing systems. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Your expertise in pipe fitting, welding, and knowledge of plumbing codes will be essential to our operations.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and resolve plumbing issues throughout the facility, including steam boilers, compressed air equipment, and associated piping systems, to minimize downtime.
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial plumbing and piping systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
- Apply knowledge of pump theory and pneumatic principles to troubleshoot and repair equipment, optimizing system performance.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on plumbing systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain boiler and refrigeration systems to maximize efficiency and safety.
- Ensure adherence to corporate standards for food safety, quality, and facility cleanliness, contributing to a safe and compliant environment.
- Order parts and materials using manufacturers' manuals and prints, ensuring accurate and timely procurement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Massachusetts Journeyman Plumbers License Required.
- Proficiency in pipe threading and fitting (iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, and PVC).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Welding skills (gas and arc) and soldering proficiency.
- Certified sanitary welding skills.
- EPA Universal Certification.
