Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Loader Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment to efficiently load, transport, and unload materials across various construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure project timelines are met safely and effectively, contributing to the successful completion of diverse infrastructure projects. Responsibilities
- Operate loader machinery such as front loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment to move materials accurately and efficiently.
- Handle various trucks including dump trucks, water trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks for transporting materials on-site and between locations.
- Assist with site preparation by managing the loading and unloading of construction supplies like concrete mixers and farm machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and site logistics while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, material movement, and safety checks for accountability and reporting purposes.
- Support other construction activities as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy machinery.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders (including Caterpillar front loaders), dozers, excavators, cranes, backhoes, and water tanks.
- Hands-on construction site experience with familiarity in handling concrete mixers, farm machinery, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other related vehicles.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles like front loader trucks or similar equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety standards.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
