POSITION DESCRIPTION
This is a SEASONAL position: (April/May Start to End of FALL TBD)
The primary responsibility of the Lead Maintenance worker is to perform routine maintenance and repair to the grounds, structures, equipment and related utilities.
Job Requirements:
- Skilled in use of commercial hand and power tools such as saws, lawnmowers, shovels, blowers and on occasion operates ride-on mowers, truck (w plow), heavy machinery, and tractors.
- Assist in maintenance of camp sites and facilities (i.e. landscaping, cleaning, painting)
- Assist in the performance of minor electrical, carpentry and plumbing work needed for maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities.
- Assist in trash collection and ensuring cleanliness of grounds and facilities.
- Acknowledge and greet guests in public spaces with a warm and friendly greeting.
- Schedule, track & perform daily, weekly and monthly routine maintenance on mowers, tractors, pool, bath houses, pavilions, game room, tavern, buildings, and various other campground equipment.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning. Examples include, but are not limited to these areas; pool, lawn mowing, weed eating, landscaping, utility areas, garbage pick-up, tool pick up, barn and garages.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the General Manager.
- Long periods of standing, bending, and kneeling
- Monitors work sites to assure that safety rules and regulations are adhered to, and that the work zones and all equipment are in safe operating condition.
- Constructs, installs, and repairs park infrastructure including recreation buildings, campgrounds, shelters, outhouses, roads, and/or signs.
- Identifies equipment needs for each assigned project.
- Responds to management, staff, and resident maintenance requests and quickly executes performance of requests
- Maintains tools and maintenance equipment to ensure they are in good working order; keeps maintenance room in neat condition
- Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured and guest ready at all times.
- Requires medium to heavy physical effort.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment while performing general grounds maintenance.
- Ability to cleaning grounds via sweeping, raking, shoveling, removing debris by hand.
- Ability to load trucks with debris, logs, dirt, etc.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Successful completion of a background check.

Skills:
- Knowledge/experience of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation.
- Knowledge/experience of pool operations.
- Knowledge/experience of safe handling of chemical properties, handling, and usage.
- A keen eye for detail

- Ability to work long and flexible hours
Licenses:
· Massachusetts Hoisting License (Preferred)
· CPO (Preferred)
Experience:
- Maintenance: 1 year (Required)
- Backhoe operation (Required)
- Pool operation

The employee will work predominately outdoors in a range of all weathers. Conditions will vary based on weather and season. Walking on uneven ground will be frequent.
