PURPOSE: To maintain, repair and build electrical based equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Electrical industrial machine troubleshooting, machine panel wiring with circuit design, and provide the support services necessary to maintain and upgrade the plant electrical system as necessary.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This employee will work as a member of the Maintenance team. Employee will work with other electricians and, at times, alone. This person should have technical troubleshooting experience with computer-controlled manufacturing equipment as well as industrial electrical knowledge. Employee’s daily duties will come from work orders issued and by verbal instructions from a supervisor. Employee will be required to observe all safety policies and perform all work in a neat and workman-like way in keeping with OSHA and NEC State law.
During a normal workday, employee may be moved several times from job to job as priorities change.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters and voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and other industry accepted methods.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Work from ladders, lifts, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
- Connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
- Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
- Construct or fabricate parts, using hand tools, according to specifications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Current Massachusetts Journeyman electrical license
4 years plus experience
Work from schematics
Knowledgeable and proficient with PLC (Programmable Logic Controls), VSD (Variable Speed Drives), CNC (Computer Numerical Control), along with solid computer skills.
