We are hiring experienced Pipe Welders for a manufacturing facility in the Houston area. This role focuses on welding and fabricating piping systems according to blueprint specifications and production requirements.
This is a full-time, day shift position working in a shop environment.
- Perform pipe welding using MIG and other processes as required by the job
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and P&ID diagrams
- Set up and adjust welding equipment (voltage, amperage, wire feed)
- Select proper materials and filler metals for assigned work
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
- Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Perform grinding and finishing work as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Minimum 5 years of pipe welding experience
- Experience with MIG welding required (additional processes a plus)
- Ability to read blueprints, pipe drawings, and P&IDs
- Knowledge of pipe materials, schedules, and welding applications
- Must pass a welding test prior to placement
- Reliable transportation to the job site
- Ability to communicate in English (basic written and verbal)
- Indoor shop setting (non-climate controlled)
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs
- Standing, bending, and working up to 10-hour shifts
- Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial conditions
- PPE and steel-toe boots required
