Journeyman Installer

Reports To: Install Field Supervisor

Required Qualifications·

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. ·

Able to Rough-In furnace and all ductwork on a new construction home.·

Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles.·

Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.·

Ability to perform air balancing test using a volumeter.·

Interpret Manual J’s·

Beginning knowledge of HVAC building code compliance.·

Available to work overtime.·

Able to perform tasks listed on Retrofit and New Construction Check-list

Understand and communicate benefits of preventative maintenance.·

Able to perform routine preventative maintenance on residential and light commercial equipment with supervision.·

Have basic installation troubleshooting skills.·

Have basic customer service skills and have ability to communicate clearly, idea's and explanations of problems to customers and co-workers. (For example, instruct client how to operate t’stat and new system.·

Upsell ability.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities ·

Keep company equipment, vehicles, trailers etc. in good working order. Keep clean inside and out.·

Operate power and hand tools safely.·

Train, instruct and oversee Install Technicians 1, 2, and Helper.·

Layout and install refrigeration piping.·

Layout and install low voltage wiring.·

Upsell (accessories, duct sealing, etc)·

Assist Service Department when needed.·

Relocate from job site to job site as dispatched.·

Perform tasks (and supervise tasks when team leader) listed on Retrofit and New Construction Check-list.·

Converse with building and home owners, general contractors, referring questions and/or problems to Field Supervisor.·

Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.·

Complete all paperwork and required forms timely and properly.·

Other duties as assigned.·

Additional compensation

Spiff for planned maintenance agreements and system replacements.
Spiffs for upsells (duct sealing, REME HALOS, etc)
