Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Master HVAC Contractor to lead and execute complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) projects. This role involves overseeing installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across various properties, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately execute projects.
- Conduct field service operations involving equipment repair, appliance repair, plumbing, welding, and mechanical maintenance.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, system performance reports, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and respond promptly to emergency repairs or system failures.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience related to HVAC system installation and upgrades.
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems in commercial or residential settings.
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications.
- Experience working with air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment including ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing equipment repair, welding techniques, boiler operation, and general property maintenance.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with field service procedures is essential.
- Valid driver’s license for transportation between job sites.
- Experience with appliance repair, property maintenance tasks, and mechanical troubleshooting in diverse environments.
