Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Combo Welder/Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components on construction sites and in manufacturing environments. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality assembly and structural integrity of various projects, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety.
Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding on sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components following blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately assemble parts
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and press brake machines to shape and fabricate metal pieces
- Conduct rigging and assembly operations for mechanical systems or structural frameworks
- Operate plasma cutters and perform precision machining tasks as needed for fabrication projects
- Follow ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations
- Assist in pipe threading, soldering, and mechanical assembly tasks on construction sites or manufacturing floors
Experience
- Proven construction site experience working with steel fabrication or structural assembly
- Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), welding techniques
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for fabrication projects
- Experience handling hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and rigging equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, ductwork installation, machining processes, and assembly procedures
- Ability to use calipers and micrometers for precise measurements in fabrication tasks
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication work

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
