About the Opportunity
A fast-growing South Florida general contracting firm is conducting a confidential search for a high-level Site Superintendent / Project Manager to become the company’s primary field leader across multiple active projects.
This is not a clipboard-only superintendent role. We are looking for a true operator: someone who can walk a jobsite, command respect from subcontractors, anticipate problems before they become expensive, and keep ownership fully informed without being chased.
The company specializes in luxury residential construction, ground-up development, and commercial interior build-outs. The work is high-end, detail-driven, and fast-moving. The right person will step into a visible leadership seat with direct access to ownership and the opportunity to help build the field operations structure of a growing GC.
The Role
The Site Superintendent / Project Manager will serve as the company’s boots-on-the-ground owner’s representative across active South Florida projects.
You will be responsible for driving schedules, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing quality standards, managing daily jobsite activity, and keeping communication tight between the field, office, clients, architects, inspectors, and ownership.
The ideal candidate is organized, tech-forward, calm under pressure, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once. You should be equally capable of reviewing plans in Bluebeam, pushing a trade to hit schedule, documenting a field issue on an iPad, and speaking professionally with a client or architect.
What You’ll Do
Field Leadership & Subcontractor Management
- Serve as the company’s primary on-site representative across active projects.
- Coordinate daily activity for subcontractors including framing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, tile, stone, millwork, finishes, and related trades.
- Conduct daily site walks to confirm quality, progress, cleanliness, safety, and readiness for upcoming trades.
- Hold subcontractors accountable to scope, schedule, workmanship, and site standards.
- Identify field conflicts, missing information, material issues, or RFI needs before they delay the job.
- Maintain a clean, professional, safe jobsite that reflects the company’s standards.
Scheduling & Multi-Project Coordination
- Manage look-ahead schedules across multiple concurrent projects.
- Coordinate trade sequencing, inspections, deliveries, and site access to keep projects moving.
- Anticipate conflicts before they hit the critical path.
- Communicate schedule risks early and bring solutions, not just problems.
- Work closely with ownership and the office team to keep all projects organized and moving forward.
Documentation & Office Communication
- Submit daily site updates, photos, schedule notes, and issue logs using digital tools.
- Use an iPad, computer, Bluebeam, email, and construction management software as part of the daily workflow.
- Maintain clear records of inspections, field conversations, punch lists, RFIs, submittals, and change-related items.
- Keep ownership and the office informed in real time.
- Eliminate surprises through disciplined communication and documentation.
Client, Architect & Inspector Interaction
- Represent the company professionally during client visits, architect meetings, inspections, and walk-throughs.
- Communicate field conditions clearly and accurately.
- Support owner walk-throughs and help drive punch list completion.
- Coordinate with design professionals when field realities impact plans, details, or design intent.
What You Won’t Do
- You will not be stuck behind a desk all day.
- You will not be expected to sell jobs or manage business development.
- You will not be left without support from ownership and the office.
- You will not be managing low-standard, volume-driven work.
- You will not be a passive messenger between subs and the office — this role requires ownership, judgment, and leadership.
What Success Looks Like
A strong candidate will be able to:
- Keep multiple projects moving without constant supervision.
- Maintain accurate daily field documentation.
- Communicate schedule risks before they become emergencies.
- Reduce rework through strong quality control and early issue detection.
- Earn respect from subcontractors while maintaining professionalism.
- Represent the company well with clients, architects, and inspectors.
- Use technology to make the field more organized, not more complicated.
- Protect schedule, quality, client experience, and company reputation.
Required Qualifications

- Strong understanding of major trades including framing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, tile, stone, millwork, and finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Working knowledge of South Florida construction conditions, inspections, permitting flow, and subcontractor coordination.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu.
- Comfortable using an iPad, computer, email, digital plans, photos, reports, and project management platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to move between multiple active project sites throughout South Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial interiors, tenant improvements, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.

Work Environment
- Full-time role.
- 100% field-based across active South Florida project sites.
- Direct reporting line to ownership.
- Fast-moving, entrepreneurial construction environment.
- High standards for communication, craftsmanship, accountability, cleanliness, and professionalism.
- Best suited for someone who wants responsibility, autonomy, and a real seat at the table.
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Final package will depend on experience level, project background, technology fluency, and ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
Why This Role Is Different

The right candidate will not just “run jobs.” They will help shape how the company executes in the field, communicates with the office, manages subcontractors, documents work, and delivers high-end projects.
For the right person, this is a leadership platform — not just another superintendent posting.
