Alpha HD Trailers, a manufacturer of custom engineered heavy haul semi-trailers, is seeking MIG-Welders to join their team in Oelwein, IA area.

Competitive Compensation: Earn $20-$26 an hour based on experience, plus overtime opportunities and performance-based merit increases. 3rd shift receives a 10% shift premium on top of hourly pay. Welders often earn $50,000-$60,000 in their first year.

1st shift – Monday to Friday from 5:00am to 3:30pm
3rd shift – Sunday to Thursday from 7:30pm to 6:00am, will train on 1st shift before moving to 3rd shift, 10% shift premium compensation

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
Assemble and fabricate large metal structures using various equipment such as MIG welders, grinders, torches, arc cutting and measuring tools.
Responsible for manufacturing products according to the specifications and standards of the customers.
Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
Lifting and carrying heavy items and moving components by operating an overhead crane.
Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Maintains safe and clean working environment.
Wear proper personal protective equipment.
Ability to work overtime as required including Saturdays.
