Seeking an experienced Fire Alarm & Security Alarm Technician to install, service, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems for commercial and residential customers.

Responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm and security alarm systems.
Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and company standards.
Work with fire alarm panels, security panels, access control, cameras, and related low-voltage systems.
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work orders.
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and team members.
Complete service tickets, inspection reports, and job documentation accurately and on time.

Requirements

Current Texas Fire Alarm Technician License, such as a Texas FAL license.
Experience with fire alarm, burglar alarm, access control, CCTV, or low-voltage systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass required background checks, licensing requirements, and drug screening.
Ability to lift equipment, work on ladders, pull cable, and work in commercial or construction environments.

Preferred

Current Texas security alarm licensing/registration, such as Texas DPS Private Security Alarm Installer registration or equivalent.
Experience with commercial fire alarm, security, access control, surveillance, structured cabling, or network-based low-voltage systems.
Knowledge of NFPA 72, AHJ requirements, Texas fire alarm rules, and industry best practices.
NICET certification.
