Industrial Refrigeration / Boiler Technician

Pettit Staffing is currently recruiting for an Industrial Refrigeration / Boiler Technician for a well-established food manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration and boiler systems to help keep production running efficiently and safely.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, industrial maintenance experience, refrigeration knowledge, or ammonia/boiler system experience looking for long-term stability and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Monitor, start, and shut down industrial refrigeration and boiler systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and refrigeration-related issues to minimize downtime
- Perform preventive maintenance on compressors, boilers, valves, pumps, and related equipment
- Assist with repairs and coordinate outside service vendors when needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and safety documentation
- Support compliance with industrial safety programs, including PSM (Process Safety Management) and RMP (Risk Management Program) requirements
- Partner with maintenance and production teams to ensure operational reliability
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in industrial refrigeration, boiler systems, ammonia systems, maintenance, or mechanical troubleshooting preferred
- RETA certifications highly valued:
- CARO (Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator)
- CIRO (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator)
