We are seeking a motivated seasoned Low-Voltage Electrical Superintendent to join our commercial HVAC controls Install Team in this rapidly expanding industry. As the Low-Voltage Electrical Project Superintendent, you will be responsible for project management, efficiency, schedule, manpower, and all aspects of the low-voltage installation of (DDC) direct digital controls associated with HVAC and (BAS) Building Automation Systems project install team under your direction.
Required Qualifications:
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, devices, Mechanical drawings, and industry standards.
· OSHA 30 safety Certificate
· Knowledge of, and ability to use power tools, and hand tools necessary to perform required electrical tasks.
· Ability to train and mentor workforce to develop project leaders
· Responsible for cultivating a Safety Culture with workforce.
· Responsible for monthly truck inspections
· 5 plus years’ experience as a superintendent on large-scale electrical low-voltage projects.
· Responsible for monitoring quality and performance, and efficiency of install crews
· Competent Person.
· Ability to lead and manage install crews.
· Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner about projects and schedules.
· Coordinate manpower, project schedule, and materials.
· Responsible for daily workflow of install crew performance on project.
· Responsible for project install crew time, weekly.
· Verify Document as-builts for accuracy as needed on projects.
· Troubleshoot control systems such as HVAC and lighting.
· Knowledge of National Electrical Codes
· Field verify projects quality and performance weekly.
· Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Maintain safety standards of equipment, work areas and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with TechPoint Company safety policies as well as job site safety policies.
· Able to work extended or flexible hours/shifts as required
· Liaison with internal and external customers
· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
· Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
· Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft office, Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam
· 10 Plus years’ experience in electrical low-voltage, 5 plus of those years as a superintendent managing multiple crews on large-scale Low-Voltage projects $350.000 and up.
· Ability to test and verify a variety of sensors (temperature, humidity, static pressure, amps)
· Low-Voltage commissioning, diagnosis, calibration, maintenance, and repair of environmental-control systems and processes, utilizing knowledge of electronics, direct digital control (DDC), airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, flow meters, electrical meters, and system control technique
