Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical devices using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct service repairs on various equipment, including HVAC/R components, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Assist with construction or installation projects related to building systems or equipment upgrades.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during maintenance or repair projects when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure accurate documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a focus on appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting purposes.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC systems—including air conditioning units—and refrigeration equipment is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to repair complex machinery and appliances efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Leadership qualities that enable effective team coordination or supervision during maintenance projects.
- Construction or building maintenance experience is a plus but not mandatory.
