Job Title: Low Voltage Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including security systems, access control, fire alarms, data cabling, and audio/video systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cabling and infrastructure, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and terminate low voltage cabling (Cat5, Cat6, coaxial, fiber optic, etc.)
Install, configure, and maintain systems such as:
CCTV and security systems
Access control systems
Fire alarm systems
Audio/Visual equipment
Network and telecom systems
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics
Troubleshoot and repair systems as needed
Test and verify proper functioning of all installed systems
Ensure compliance with national and local codes and safety regulations
Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service work
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (technical certifications a plus)
1–3 years of experience in low voltage installation or related field
Familiarity with basic tools, testers, and cable handling
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, or other relevant codes is preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to be well organized and maintain service work documents
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Pre Employment Drug Screening

Preferred Certifications (not required but beneficial):

BICSI
NICET
OSHA 10/30
Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Bosch, etc...)
