Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and across various property types. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal system performance and safety while providing exceptional service to clients. A valid driver’s license is required, and experience with construction, equipment repair, welding, boiler systems, and property maintenance is highly desirable.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform service calls for residential, commercial, or industrial clients involving HVAC systems.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems as needed.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics.
- Repair or replace mechanical components including motors, fans, compressors, valves, and ductwork.
- Perform welding and other equipment repair tasks to restore system functionality.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems or general building upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of refrigerants such as ammonia refrigeration.
Skills
- 3 years’ experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans.
- Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications.
- Familiarity with appliance repair, plus property maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in construction or field service environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for travel between job sites. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise in HVAC systems while contributing to the safety and comfort of our clients’ properties.
