Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Fire Alarm Service Technician to lead the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced fire alarm systems. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and CAD drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), local codes, and safety regulations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and low voltage electrical experience to perform system wiring, sensor placement, and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly into building infrastructure.
- Perform field service visits for routine maintenance or emergency repairs while documenting all work performed thoroughly.
- Support fire sprinkler fitting activities when necessary and maintain mechanical knowledge relevant to integrated life safety systems.
- Assist in fire alarm sales efforts by providing technical expertise during client consultations or system upgrades.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and industry best practices while maintaining a high level of quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in fire alarm systems or related low voltage electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm components including sensors, control panels, schematics, and alarm system sales processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings accurately; familiarity with system design principles is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction inspection techniques.
- Electrical experience with low voltage wiring, NEC compliance standards, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting or mechanical systems is a plus but not required.
- Excellent field service skills with a proactive attitude toward customer satisfaction and safety compliance.
