Join our dynamic team at Shamco Management as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing essential climate control systems across diverse properties. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise and technical skills to ensure optimal indoor comfort and system efficiency. As an HVAC Technician, you will perform hands-on service, troubleshoot complex equipment, and contribute to property maintenance projects that keep buildings running smoothly. Your proactive approach and technical knowledge will directly impact the safety, comfort, and operational excellence of our facilities.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment.
Install, maintain, and upgrade HVAC components in accordance with design specifications and safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems, plumbing, refrigeration units, and appliances to identify issues early and prevent system failures.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic instruments to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems efficiently.
Perform field service tasks including equipment repair, system calibration, component replacement, and emergency repairs as needed.
Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data for ongoing property management.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC systems; construction or property maintenance experience is highly valued.
Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration).
Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, appliance repair, and general equipment repair.
Familiarity with field service procedures involving air conditioning units and mechanical systems.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; comfortable working with complex mechanical components.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between sites.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
