Warriors 2 Workforce is hiring a Plasma Cutting Machine Operator to support pipe fabrication operations for a premier mechanical contractor in Columbus, OH. This role is based in an industrial fabrication shop environment and focuses on operating automated plasma pipe cutting equipment used in commercial and industrial piping systems.
This is not a general labor, warehouse, or entry-level role. Candidates must have prior experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial shop setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate automated plasma pipe cutting equipment
- Use basic computer software to input and verify cut programs
- Load and unload steel pipe material
- Measure, verify, and confirm cut lengths per cut lists
- Support pipefitters and welders in the fabrication shop
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all shop safety and PPE requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial shop environment
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working around steel pipe, machinery, noise, and PPE
- Able to follow instructions, cut lists, and basic production schedules
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
Requirements
- Experience operating machinery or production equipment in a shop environment
- Basic computer skills (mouse, keyboard, simple software interfaces)
- Ability to lift 50–60 lbs as needed
- Ability to stand and work on your feet in a shop setting
- Ability to pass a company drug screen (no exceptions)
- Local to Columbus, OH (daily commute required)
Pay & Schedule
- $22–25/hour, based on experience
- 1st shift available
- Full-time, long-term position
- No travel or per diem
