A growing commercial plumbing contractor serving the Fort Worth, Texas region is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Project Manager to lead field operations and oversee the successful delivery of multiple commercial construction projects. This position is responsible for directing project execution, managing operational resources, supervising field personnel, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with extensive experience in commercial plumbing construction, strong organizational abilities, and a proven track record of managing teams, resources, and project performance in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial plumbing projects from preconstruction through project completion.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Superintendents, Foremen, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Develop labor allocation strategies and workforce plans to support project schedules, production targets, and staffing requirements.
- Monitor project progress, productivity levels, and field performance to ensure efficient execution and timely completion.
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate workmanship, safety compliance, scheduling performance, and overall project conditions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, project teams, and clients to align operational activities with business objectives.
- Coordinate the procurement, distribution, and utilization of materials, equipment, tools, and field resources.
- Review productivity reports, labor performance data, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in controlling project costs by monitoring labor expenditures, equipment usage, and material consumption.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, general contractors, inspectors, suppliers, and trade partners.
- Oversee project documentation processes, including RFIs, change orders, field reports, directives, and project closeout records.
- Anticipate project challenges and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays and operational disruptions.
- Ensure all projects comply with company policies, OSHA regulations, and established safety programs.
- Mentor field leaders and team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
- Support long-term operational planning initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Extensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, construction practices, and field operations management.
- Proven experience managing commercial plumbing projects, construction operations, or large-scale field teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
- Experience with labor forecasting, workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and technical construction documents.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in commercial plumbing operations, construction management, field supervision, or project leadership.
- Previous experience directing field crews, subcontractors, and daily project operations is required.
- OSHA certification is considered an advantage.
