Job Overview
As a Low Voltage Electrician, your workload will consist of project overview and task execution. Through planned weekly schedules, daily reports, and weekly project task lists, on site progress can be made and tracked easily. Responsibilities include aptitude in order to fill/complete forms accurately, ability to review plans, assess their subsequent constructibility in the field, material ordering, and coordination in effectively completing the project.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Low Voltage Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation of critical communication, security, and data infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from network installations to telecommunication systems, all while delivering exceptional service and technical excellence.
Duties
- Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic splicing, Ethernet cabling, and telecommunication wiring.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Perform network installation tasks involving Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, LAN configurations, and VoIP systems.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues, perform equipment repairs, and ensure optimal system performance for clients.
- Assist with fiber splicing projects and cable management using power tools and hand tools to ensure neat and compliant wiring setups.
- Support data operations by installing and maintaining computer hardware, cabling infrastructure (Cat5, Cat6), and network equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining system functions, and ensuring their needs are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Electrician or Service Technician with a focus on telecommunication or networking systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) standards related to low voltage wiring.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and telephony solutions like Avaya or VoIP platforms.
- Familiarity with schematics, computer networking concepts including LAN setup, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and network troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to use testing tools for testing and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools necessary for cable installation and equipment repair.
- Knowledge of telecommunication standards including cabling practices for Cat5/Cat6 cables and proper grounding techniques.

Pay: $30.32 - $37.00 per hour
