Job Overview:
Responsible for wiring and assembly of electrical components used in the building of Equipment and Fixtures, either on their own or with the support of Job Leaders or Builders. Responsible for performing tasks in a cost and quality conscious manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing assigned portion of the job on-time, on budget, and in accordance with Alto and customer quality standards.
- Wire panels and assemble electronic components during the building of equipment or fixture from design release to installation and run off at the customer.
- Maintain organized routing and labeling of wires and devices corresponding to electrical prints.
- Assist in ordering, receipt, and inventory of needed electrical materials after review with Controls Engineer and Job Leader assigned to the project.
- Communicate with other Electricians, Job Leaders, Builders, Apprentices, Controls Engineers and outside contractors as needed to ensure priorities are clearly identified and issues are promptly resolved to meet job requirements.
- Train Apprentices in Alto standards throughout the wiring and building process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues at start-up in collaboration with Controls Engineer and Job Lead.
- Assist with tear down and reassembly of equipment for commissioning at the customers facility as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years related wiring experience (Electrical Journeyman card or 5+ years preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering prints for equipment.
- Ability to review and help identify issues that may arise in electrical design.
- Experience in installation and use of many types of purchased electrical and controls components.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic components.
- Communication skills to work through a build plan.
- Computer skills to access and communicate required information to be successful though out a project.
- Efficient time management - must be self-driven.
