Overview
We are searching to fill several positions --- we are looking for:
1. A helper (just starting out) to learn with out senior commercial technician ($15-20/hr)
2. An experienced service technician with at least 3-4 years experience(25-$35/hr)
3. An installer for residential equipment (furnaces, coils, condensers)(25-35/hr)
We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Installer/Service Technician to join our team, providing expert installation and service of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with HVAC systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and design plans. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a broad skill set including plumbing, refrigeration, and equipment repair. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites. Candidates with experience in construction, service technician roles, or property maintenance are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform ductwork installation and modifications as needed for system efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for diagnostics and repairs.
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate testing devices; perform equipment repair or replacement as necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and parts used during installations or repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC installation or service technician roles.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration (Ammonia refrigeration preferred), air conditioning, and boiler systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing, refrigeration systems, appliance repair, welding, and equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, chillers, or other HVAC components is a plus.
- Experience working as a field service technician or mechanic is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license required for travel between job sites; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.
