Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, including high voltage and low voltage systems, to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and analysis skills; identify root causes and implement effective solutions swiftly.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, relays, circuit breakers, sensors, and wiring in accordance with safety standards.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and modify automation systems for improved efficiency.
- Conduct field service tasks including installation, calibration, and testing of electrical components across manufacturing facilities.
- Operate precision measuring instruments like ammeters and ohmmeters to assess electrical parameters accurately.
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on hydraulics, welding (including welding), HVAC/R systems, and other mechanical aspects of plant maintenance.
- Support safety initiatives by adhering to lockout/tagout procedures and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations related to high voltage and industrial electrician work.
- Assist in training team members on electrical safety practices and proper equipment operation when needed.
Skills
- Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on industrial maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage (HV) and low voltage applications.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Skilled in hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to operate field service tools such as scissor lifts safely for elevated work tasks.
- Excellent analysis skills to diagnose complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Industrial electrician experience combined with a solid understanding of industrial mechanics is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of military standards or experience is a plus due to the disciplined approach required in this role.
